And while many Americans think their crimes against native people are a thing of the past, their government still approves pipelines through burial grounds, denies tribes their written treaty rights and more. I hope that the American attitude toward indigenous archaeology is changing - and I do think it is, slowly - but no better way to speed it up a little!
